Chocolate Brussels Sprouts!!!

Brussels Sprouts............Yes? or No? anytime of the year or with your Christmas dinner?

The Reason I ask is because of the story below from today's Sun newspaper:


Andy Simpson says his new delicacy of Brussels coated in finest Belgian chocolate are selling like hot cakes at just 25p each.



Andy, who has a store at the Elsecar Heritage Centre, near Barnsley, South Yorks, came up with the idea while on one of his regular visits to schools, where he teaches pupils about the origins of their favourite treat.



The 49-year-old said: "I am always looking for something new and with Christmas approaching Brussels sprouts immediately popped into my mind.

"I go into schools in the area to tell children where chocolate comes from. A lot seem to think it just appears in supermarkets and don't realise it comes from the cocoa bean.



"On one visit I let the youngsters have a go at making chocolates, we tried using sprouts and they seemed to go down quite well with the kids.



"I decided to try them out on customers and they are proving popular and I'm hoping to sell a lot more to people looking for something a little different to have with their Christmas dinner.



"I know Brussels sprouts are a bit like Marmite, you either love them or loathe them. I like them, they are a nice chocolatey shape but I must admit they are an acquired taste."

It was never meant to be!!

A US truck driver who won a Lamborghini supercar in a competition crashed it just six hours later.




David Dopp, 34, from Santaquin, near Salt Lake City, Utah, now plans to sell the €200,000 Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster.



"Yeah, I got it on Saturday and I wrecked it on Saturday," he told local reporters.



The father-of-six says he can't afford the insurance or the taxes on the lime green convertible which he won in a contest run by a local chain of shops.

Mr Dopp was taking a friend for a spin in the car when he hit black ice while taking a corner at about 45mph.



The car went through a fence and came to rest in a field about 75ft from the road with damage to both front and back ends of the car, plus a punctured oil pan and tyre.



Police say the Lamborghini's high-performance summer tires weren't suited for icy conditions. Happily for Mr Dopp, he was insured.

Hong Kong footballer scores spectacular own goal

A first division player from Hong Kong, Festus Baise, will likely be feeling a mixture of pride and embarrassment after scoring one of the most bizarre own goals ever caught on camera.

The Citizen AA defender was attempting an extravagant clearance when he accidentally put the ball in the back of his own net with an unbelievable scorpion kick.




Both sets of players were left stunned by the incident. Some of the 31-year-old's team-mates even appear to congratulate him on the unintentional wonder goal.



His blushes were saved somewhat when his team went on to win the game 3-2.

What a cracking goal though!!!

There aren't quite a 101 of them but for new mum Pebbles her 15 Dalmatian puppies are more than enough.




Pebbles' owner Kay Sullivan was left shocked when her pet pooch gave birth to the huge litter - double the average number.



The birth left two-and-half-year old Pebbles so exhausted that she, husband Neil and daughter Cerys had to step in to lend a hand.



Mrs Sullivan said: "By the time we had fed the last one, it was time to go back to the first one."



And thanks to their help all of the puppies have survived. The family now have the task of coming up with names for all five males and ten females.



Newly christened is Patch and Phantom Of The Opera due to the fact half his face is black and the other white.



Their story has drawn parallels to the Disney film '101 Dalmatians' because 15 is the number of puppies stolen from Dalmatian parents Pongo and Perdy.



Mrs Sullivan, who is not a dog breeder, said they may keep one or two of the new arrivals but were looking to sell the rest.



"We were expecting an average litter of about seven or eight. We weren't expecting 15. It's a bit much," she said. "We don't want 15 dogs running around."

Over three quarters of people are 'drunk' in their tagged Facebook photos, it has been found.




A recent study discovered that the average Briton’s Facebook photos were taken when the subject was under the influence of alcohol.



The discovery was made as part of a poll of 1,781 people into the relationship between Brits and the photos they have on social media profiles.



Asked to estimate what percentage of the photos they are ‘tagged’ in on their profile had been taken after/whilst drinking alcohol, the average number was 76%.



And while just a tenth have their privacy settings to limit looking at tagged photos to just themselves, over half, 56%, admitted that they had ‘drunk photos’ on their profile that they would not want their work colleagues to see.

Egg Nog!!

Today for Ask Andrew on Talkabout, we had a question about Egg Nog! How to make it etc....

Eggnog Recipe



Ingredients:

4 egg yolks

1/2 cup sugar

2 cups milk

2 whole cloves

Pinch of cinnamon

1 cup cream

1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 Tbsp each of bourbon and rum or brandy, or to taste (can omit for kid-friendly eggnog)

*4 egg whites (optional)

Method

1 In a large bowl, beat egg yolks until they become lighter in color (can whisk by hand or use a mixer for this). Slowly beat in the sugar, whisking until fluffy.



2 Combine the milk, cinnamon, and cloves in a thick-bottomed saucepan. Slowly heat mixture on medium heat until it is steaming hot, but not boiling.



3 Temper the eggs by slowly adding half of the hot milk mixture into the eggs, whisking constantly while you add the hot mixture. Pour the mixture back into the saucepan.



4 Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, until it begins to thicken slightly, and coats the back of the spoon. It helps to have a candy thermometer, but not necessary; if you have one, cook until the mixture reaches 160°F. Do not allow the mixture to boil, or it will curdle. (If the mixture does curdle you may be able to save it by running it through a blender.) Remove from heat and stir in the cream. Strain the mixture through a mesh strainer to remove the cloves. Let cool for one hour.



5 Mix in vanilla extract, nutmeg, and bourbon/rum and brandy (feel free to omit for kid-friendly eggnog). Chill.



Optional: Beat egg whites until they reach soft peaks. Add a teaspoon of sugar and continue to beat until they reach stiff peaks. Gently fold into eggnog.



Makes 1 quart. Serves 4-6.

Cabin crew undress for charity calendar by Zoomin_UK

Ryanair has become enveloped in an unseemly row with Spanish housewives over its new calendar.




The cut price airline produces a charity calendar each year, featuring scantily-clad flight attendants.



But the latest version has attracted the wrath of the Provincial Association of Housewives and Consumers of Valencia.



The association has formally complained that the calendar exploits female workers, and reported it to the Non-Sexist Advertising Observatory of Valencia for using the female body in the form of advertising.



The association wants the calendar - intended to raise money to send 50 British families with children who suffer from a fragile skin condition on holiday to Spain - taken off sale.



The housewives say that the airline is profiting by using the publicity whipped up by the calendar to sell its low-cost flights.



However, Ryanair says it has already sold 90% of its 10,000 print run of 2012 calendars, raising nearly €120,000 for the charity, Debra.



It says the calendar is no different to other calendars featuring scantily clad workers - both male and female - and say it raises money for a good cause.

Bit Much??

Now this is a tad bit too much isn't it?

A 13-year-old schoolgirl has written a letter to Santa Claus threatening to kill him if he fails to bring her good Christmas presents.




Mekeeda Austin from Bedford warned that there would be fatal consequences if she failed to receive at least two gifts from her list, which included a Blackberry and "the real-life Justin Bieber".



She also vowed to "hunt down" and kill Santa's reindeer so that she could "serve their meat to homeless people on Xmas day" and signed off the note with, "Remember… two of these, or you die".



"I don't really believe in Santa any more but I was angry because I thought I wasn't going to get all the presents I wanted this year," Mekeeda stated to Metro. "I want all of these things and I don't see why I shouldn't get them."



The youngster's mother Tracey, who was the first to discover the note, insisted that her daughter would not be punished.



"When I first found the letter, I thought it was funny," she admitted. "Now I think I'd better get her what she wants. The last thing I want is for her to kill Santa."

FIFA 2012 - Mistake???

A Fifa 12 gamer has posted a clip of Liverpool striker Andy Carroll 'snogging' Arsenal goalie Lukasz Fabianski.




The in-game glitch - dubbed the FIFA 12 'sex tape' - has notched up nearly a million hits on YouTube.


It occurs after the €37million striker scores a goal and gets tangled up with the keeper in a seemingly passionate clinch.



It's one of the funniest finds in the hit PlayStation and Xbox game to-date. Others have included players appearing to get a little too close during celebrations.



More than 5,000 people have 'liked' the clip and over 1,000 have posted comments.



One said: "Surely that's a bug - Andy Carroll would never score a goal."

X Factor, Fixed or Not!!!!

So this is the view from HMV's website last night in the UK. Whoops! Now I'm sure theres an obvious explanation for this in fact I'm sure with the X Factor final this weekend they were testing the webpage to be ready for the eventual winner. I'm almost certain that there is no fixing scandal and all 3 finalists will have had their own template.

I bet someone was doing this test, and published the image above accidentally and then someone picked up on it immediately. X Factor and HMV have both denied any fixing but the down side is now even iof Amelia does win, People will think, "OH IT WAS ALL FIXED AND DECIDED FROM THE START", etc.....

Most Expensive Crash EVER!!!!

I'd heard about this yesterday and now heres the video of the aftermath!!! Whoops!!!

Mercedes, a Lamborghini and a Nissan Skyline has been described as the world's most expensive car crash.




The bizarre accident happened as the convoy of sports car connoisseurs were heading to a motorshow in Japan and the driver of one of the Ferraris lost control.

In total it's estimated that €3million (ish) worth of super cars were destroyed in the crash…

Samsung has released a video shofffwcasing the potential future look and feel of tablet computers, using an ultra-thin and flexible screen technology. The video, posted yesterday on YouTube, features Samsung's new AMOLED touchscreen that can be bent in all directions without losing functionality. Samsung unveiled this incredible new type of flexible OLED touchscreen technology at CES at the start of the year, showcasing a 4.5-inch smartphone hosting video content with a WVGA 800 x 480p resolution on a screen just 0.3mm thick. In the video, the Korean consumer electronics giant shows off a number of different real-world scenarios in which a tablet featuring bendable technology could be used.
People are seen in the video using the transparent device for a variety of different tasks, including scanning an augmented reality code on a menu, watching a 3D video, taking photos and translating a real-time conversation. Samsung is keen to harness the bendable technology for smartphones and tablets in the future and is understood to be developing a number of workable prototypes. Concept designs emerged earlier in the year hinting that the company would release its first flexible AMOLED phone at some point in 2012, and this video will only add to the rumours.

A video of two idiot motorists racing each other drag race style at a set of traffic lights (and failing miserably) has become an online hit. Filmed by another driver -- who says he had a feeling something bad was going to happen -- the action happened in The Woodlands, Houston. Gerod Rush said he watched the drivers of the C5 Corvette and C6 Corvette rev their engines before speeding away as the lights turned green. Then, as they headed off into the distance at 60mph one swerved into the other and both cars were sent crashing into nearby trees. Oops. Andrew. :)

Emigrate elsewhere! Hilary Clinton could possible win a Nobel Peace Prize, and she could also have a cougar moment. And boy does she deserve one. A not-so-good prediction is that The Duke of Edinburgh will die in his sleep. In other bad news, the current pope will also pass over, and the new pope comes to power in strange circumstances. And in the worst news of all (look away if easily saddened) the weather in 2012 will be HUGELY RUBBISH! In other sticky-situation news, a cruise ship will be damaged at sea, with a fire on board. It will be the first in 3 or 4 problems with large cruise ships world-wide. Be prepared to abandon ship! In procreation news, Prince William and wife Catherine will have a baby girl. Man's 1st Word!!

Parents very often tell stories of their kids 1st words, or new parents can't wait for that joyful occasion where their sons and daughters finally say the all important something!! Well then you must think to yourself, "I wonder what was the 1st word ever spoken?" or at least I do :). And you'd be forgiven to think it was sort of groggy early in the morning grunt or groan or general noise uttered from the mouth!!! Well wonder no more because, Scientists claim the D'oh catchphrase of Homer Simpson could have been one of the first words ever uttered by modern man. Boffins from the University of Amsterdam say this is because of the way in which our prehistoric ancestors vocal tract was formed. The shape and mechanics of the mouth and throat meant that while speech would have been limited, the 'u' sound would have been one of the easiest to make. Dr de Boer -- who studied the hyoid bone of ancient vocal tracts -- says this would frequently have been put together to make 'Duh' and 'Buh' sounds. He suggests the first words would have been spoken about million years ago… and are not dissimilar to those used by many men today. Andrew. :)

Finally A Proper and Worthy Invention!!!

It's more pee than Wii for gamers at a bar in London -- where urine-controlled video games have been installed in their toilets. Loo-goers at the Exhibit Bar in Balham get to play games -- including askiing game and a quiz -- every time they go to the toilet. Users (men only) aim their pee in the specially-crafted urinals to control the games which are displayed on LCD screens mounted above. Bar bosses hope the games will not only attract new customers, but that regulars will drink more in order to play longer and set news high scores. Andrew. :)

Coolest Street Painting EVER!!!

Visitors to West India Quays at Canary Wharf would have been forgiven for treading carefully after stumbling on this amazing 3D painting.

Artist Joe Hill was commissioned by Reebok Crossfit to create the massive and record breaking 1160.45m² painting of a waterfall and plunging cliffs.

Speaking of his record Joe said: "I am absolutely over the moon to have broken not one but two Guinness World Records for the longest and largest anamorphic painting!

"As a London based artist it is really special to create this artwork in the heart of the city and also to be able to bring the world records for 3D art back home to Britain where 3D art first started."

Story Updated so Far

A load of texts and emails into the show since Tuesday when I announced the news about Frankie Cocozza. So heres the story updated so far.

Four former X Factor acts have been given the opportunity to win back a place on the show.

One of James Michael, Amelia Lily, 2 Shoes or Jonjo Kerr, who were all eliminated by the judges in the first week of the live shows, will replace axed singer Frankie Cocozza on Saturday's episode.

The public will now vote for James, Amelia, 2 Shoes and Jonjo for the first time. Whoever receives the most votes will win their place back in the competition from this weekend.
An X Factor spokesperson said in a statement: "The four acts have never been in a public vote so, with Frankie leaving the competition, this is an opportunity for the public to decide who comes back to the show."

Voting details will be confirmed tomorrow. But I think its UK only.

The X Factor's returning contestant will be revealed this Saturday at 8.15pm on TV3.

Heres the downside to getting someone to jump start your car from battery to battery!

These motorists proved they aren't the brightest sparks - by destroying their cars after crossing jump-start wires.

The motoring mishap resulted in damage that meant both cars were write-offs.

The incident in Columbia, South Carolina, saw silver Jeep owner Andrew Jernigan connect jump-leads to 21-year-old friend Delaney Mills' red Volkswagen.

Their pal Marc Coty saw the whole thing.

Coty explained: "Delaney's Volkswagen stalled on the street, so Andrew pulled his Jeep up to her car to jumpstart it.

"While attaching the jump cables to the batteries of the cars, they accidentally crossed the wires, attaching the positive cable to the negative terminal on the battery and vice versa.

"After Andrew started his car up, the rubber melted off of the jump cables, making it impossible to remove them from the batteries of the cars. The battery of Andrew's jeep began to smoke.

"While calling 911 to report the case to the fire department, the battery caught flame. The fire began to spread very quickly across the entire engine of Andrew's car.

"One of our friends, Dylan Dickerson, tried to beat the fire out with a placemat with no success. We were afraid to throw water on the car, as we thought this would not be the best idea with an electrical fire.

"Within the 15 minutes that it took the firefighters to get to the scene, the flames had engulfed about three-quarters of Andrew's entire car and the flames reached probably 10 feet in height," he concluded.

A Spaniard has shown off the ultimate Rubik's Cube trick - solving one while juggling two more.

A video of David Calvo, 24, an engineer from Bilbao, performing the stunt has gone viral online.

Mr Calvo's previous Rubik's Cube feats include completing one blindfolded and two simultaneously.

A game in which a toy dog leaves 'little presents' for children to clean up is set to be one of the best selling gifts this Christmas.

The Doggie Doo game gives players a chance to scoop up as much plasticine poo as possible in order to win.

World's Hottest Chilli

Two people have been hospitalised after taking part in a "world's hottest chilli" competition at an Indian restaurant in Edinburgh.

The duo -- who were bidding to become Scotland’s 2011 Kurry King or Queen --
were battling it out by eating progressively hotter dishes.

Organisers of the charity event said the 'Kismot Killer' curry was of "nuclear strength" and made with some of the worlds hottest chillies.

Unfortunately it was too strong for some contestants taking part in the charity event and they suffered a violent reaction.

While the British Red Cross had been on hand at the event, the Scottish Ambulance Service had to be called to deal with the fallout, so to speak.

doctor Conrad Murray has begun his manslaughter trial

Michael Jackson's personal doctor Conrad Murray has begun his manslaughter trial in Los Angeles.

Murray has previously pleaded not guilty to the charges, and could face up to four years in prison if found guilty.

Prosecutors for the case said that Murray acted with "gross negligence" on the night of Jackson's death in June 2009, while the defence argued that Jackson took too much of the drug propofol himself.

Lead prosecutor David Walgren told the court: "Conrad Murray repeatedly acted with gross negligence, repeatedly denied appropriate care to his patient, Michael Jackson. That misplaced trust cost Michael Jackson his life."

The court was played a voicemail recording of Jackson taken on Murray's iPhone in May 2009. The tape contains Jackson slurring while discussing his then-upcoming gigs in London.

Jackson is heard saying: "When people leave my show, I want them to say, 'I've never seen nothing like this in my life. Go. Go. I've never seen nothing like this. Go. It's amazing. He's the greatest entertainer in the world'."

Walgren argued that Jackson's slurred speech proved that he should not have been allowed to have taken more propofol doses.

The prosecutor reported that Murray had left Jackson alone on the night he died to check his mobile phone. Upon finding him unconscious, he did not immediately contact emergency services, and allegedly waited 20 minutes before telling bodyguards to do so.

"[Murray] left [Jackson] there, abandoned him to fend for himself," Walgren said.

Walgren went on to claim that Murray did not tell paramedics about the injected propofol intake. The jury was also shown a photo of Jackson lying on a gurney after his death.

saying: "He did an act without his doctor's knowledge, without his doctor's permission, against his orders, he did an act that caused his own death."

Chernoff claimed that Jackson had swallowed several pills of the sedative lorazepam on the morning of his death, which combined with the self-ingested propfol to create "a perfect storm in his body", and killed him instantly.

The defence lawyer said that Jackson "died so rapidly, so instantly, he didn't even have time to close his eyes".

Various witnesses, including security guards and paramedics, are expected to be called to the stand during the ongoing trial.

The prosecution is also said to be planning on playing a recording of Murray's police interview taken two days after Jackson died, in which he admits giving the singer propofol.

The trial is expected to continue for at least five weeks.

Black Pearl causes storm on autobahn

It looks more like a banger from Davey Jones's lock-up than the terror of the Spanish Main.

But this British registered four wheeled version of Captain Jack Sparrow's Black Pearl ship was clearly menacing enough to merit a boarding party from motorway police in Brunnthal, Germany.

Astonished cops saw the J-registered banger decked out in wooden cladding - complete with a wheelhouse and mast - sailing past other traffic crewed by four men in full Pirates of the Caribbean outfits.

But unlike their movie namesakes, this motley crew - who have not been identified by police - were given a clean bill of health after telling officers they were driving across Europe.

A police spokesman said: "They had a road safety certificate for all of the modifications including the mast and the galley and so we wished them a safe voyage and allowed them to continue on their way."

Personal highlight is when he turns to his 79-year-old wife and says, "Just drop your dress a little bit and see your boobies"... who says old people don't understand the internet.

iPhone 5 maybe?

Apple is rumoured to be holding its iPhone 5 press conference on October 5.

The event is reportedly scheduled for the first week of next month, and the fifth iteration of the iOS device released one week later, Pocket Gamer reports.

France Telecom CEO Stephane Richard previously claimed that the handset will arrive on the market one week later than previously speculated, claiming that the iPhone 5 is down for an October 15 launch.

Speculation about the phone's specifications flooded the internet after a prototype version of the handset was reportedly lost by an Apple employee in a bar.

Rumours have suggested that the device will sport a teardrop design akin to the new iPod Touch, with an aluminium metal backing rather than the current glass back piece. It is expected to feature the new iOS5 operating system.

Apple is yet to officially confirm a date for the press conference, or announce a release date for the iPhone 5.

And thanks to being off-target and not very powerful, it never looked likely to going in or troubling the keeper, until he tried to keep the ball in play.

Reaching out he touched the ball and diverted it from going out… sending it straight into the back of the net. The game ended 1-1. Oops.

Breast squeeze 'caught on speed camera'

A motorist is threatening legal action after a police camera allegedly caught him speeding while squeezing his female passenger's breast.

Businessman Deng Jialin has been fined the equivalent of €25 for driving at nearly 100km/h in a 60km/h zone - but that is the least of his worries.

He says the image, which was published by local media after it was posted on an internet forum, has been digitally manipulated.

And he is threatening to sue local traffic police, who he believes leaked the photograph, for breach of his privacy.

The photograph shows Deng driving his Nissan 4WD vehicle on a motorway between Santai and Shehong in Sichuan Province, China.

It later emerged that the woman in the picture is not his wife but a local university student.

But Deng, who runs his own company, says it's a fake and is threatening to sue the Mianyang Traffic Bureau.

"I was driving alone that day, and there was no one in my passenger seat," he insisted.

Traffic officials have promised to investigate the incident and say they will review policy to better protect people's privacy.

Matt Cardle debuts new single 'Run For Your Life'

Matt Cardle has premiered the music video for his new single.

The X Factor winner will release his first single proper 'Run For Your Life' on October 10.

The track was written by Take That's Gary Barlow and was one of the last songs to be recorded for Cardle's debut album Letters, which will be available to buy on October 17.

The 'Run For Your Life' video features Cardle singing the song in front of large projections of a red-headed woman running away through a forest and on a beach.

Robbie Williams songwriter Guy Chambers has previously described Cardle's first record as "very powerful and emotive" and has likened the sound to that of Coldplay, Snow Patrol and Travis.

Freddie Mercury's 65th birthday has been celebrated by Google's homepage.

The search engine giant has today displayed a video animation to pay tribute to the late Queen frontman, nearly 20 years after he tragically passed away.

The 'Google doodle' sees a cartoon version of Mercury perform one of Queen's most famous hits 'Don't Stop Me Now' above the search box.

The animation is available to Google users outside of the US, while American users will have a belated birthday doodle as Mercury's actual birthday falls on Labour Day.

'Where's Wally?'

A Norwich man has had a huge 'Where's Wally?' scene - featuring 150 characters - tattooed on his back.

John Mosley's tattoo shows a view of Norwich with the city's castle and two cathedrals in the background.

It took tattooist Rytch Soddy 24 hours to create the scene - helping to raise £2,000 for charity in the process.

It also features some unusual characters including Darth Vader, a horse riding in a chariot pulled by two Romans and a man carrying a sabretooth tiger.

Wally himself - wearing his trademark glasses, red and white striped top, bobble hat and blue trousers - is hidden behind a trio of women in bathing costumes.

Mr Mosley, a 22-year-old music producer, said: "It will be a talking point for years to come. People will look at my back and have fun searching around for Wally."

The money raised will be donated to Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital in London.

Where's Wally was created by British illustrator Martin Handford and features the distinctive explorer hidden in montage scenes from throughout the ages.

The books have been published in 28 countries and have also been turned into a TV series comic strip and video games.

While he is Wally in Britan, he is known as Waldo in the USA, Hugo in Sweden, Willy in Norway and Charlie in France.

Germany's footballing calendar girls

Over 300 women competed in a football knockout tournament in Germany with 12 prizes up for grabs - one appearance each on the pages of a raunchy calendar.

All of the girls involved play regularly for amateur clubs and the final 12 have shown their talents at the Volksbank stadium in Frankfurt.

"The calendar is meant to make women's football more attractive, and help give it more media presence," said an organiser.

Germany international midfielder Julia Simic, who recently featured in a Playboy spread with team-mates, said female footballers are shedding their tomboy look.

"I think we're well on our way to getting rid of that image. More and more sweet, pretty girls are playing," she added.

Georgie Thompson arrested!

Sky Sports presenter Georgie Thompson was reportedly arrested for drink driving last weekend.

The 33-year-old was breathalysed by police as she returned to her home in Chelsea, London. She was found to be over the limit and arrested.

"Georgie is utterly devastated as you can imagine. She held her hands up immediately," a source told the paper. "She'd been at a friend's house for lunch and had had a few drinks early on.

"Georgie stopped drinking after a while and when it was time to go home she figured she would be okay. She was not staggering around drunk or anything. If she thought she was drunk she would not have driven."

Thompson, who has worked for Sky Sports News since 2001, was said to be worried about the reaction of her bosses, who she informed of the incident shortly after her release.

The Sky1 A League Of Their Own team captain split from boyfriend Declan Donnelly earlier this year. Speaking in June, she admitted that it was tough to go through a "painful break-up when you're in the public eye".

A spokesperson for Thompson, who will appear in court next month, said: "We can confirm she was pulled over for being over the limit at the weekend."

Paintball bursts breast implant

A woman is recovering after her breast implant burst when she was shot in the chest during a game of paintball.

The 26-year-old's soft gel implant ruptured under her skin when the ball hit her breast at 190mph.

It's believed to the first time such an injury has happened in Europe.

The Paintball crowd who own the place now insist that women with breast implants wear extra chest protection.

The company's standard indemnity form now points out that paintballs can damage breast implants.

The woman was playing paintball at Whyteleafe, south London, when the incident took place.

At first she thought it was just a painful bruise. But when she went to see a doctor a few days later, he revealed the force of the impact had torn the implant.

A spokesman said: "Part of the fun of paintball is that it hurts a bit when you get shot but in all the years we've been going we've never seen an incident like this.

"The incident has been a real wakeup call and nobody should ever feel worried for their safety during a game of paintball.

"But it's worth remembering that having bigger breasts will make you an easier target for your enemies."

Drink driver's forklift fiasco

Police say a drink driver who crashed his car after a night on the town tried to sneak it home - on a stolen forklift truck.

The 27-year-old, from Bedburg, Germany, was caught trying to load the pranged Volkswagen Golf onto the forklift while he was nearly twice the legal drink drive limit.

Astonished police who were driving by on patrol stopped and took the man into custody.

"It must have seemed like a good idea at the time," said one officer.

"He didn't want anyone to call us so he tried to move the vehicle himself. It was, though, very dangerous and illegal."

An artist best-known as the real-life invisible man has painted himself again for a new photograph collection – this time against a supermarket shelf.

Chinese-born Liu Bolin has mastered the art of camouflaging himself against a variety of backdrops and taking photos of the impressive results.

The talented 38-year-old has travelled far and wide disguising himself across many surroundings, including a London phone box, a pile of bricks, the Beijing Olympic stadium, a Venetian canal and a graffiti-covered wall.

Facebook to be shut down!!!

Hacker group Anonymous has denied that it is behind a planned attack on Facebook later this year.

A movement called Operation Facebook, or #OpFacebook, has set up accounts on Twitter and YouTube, and reportedly plans to launch an online attack on the social networking site on November 5.

A video posted on YouTube, claiming to be from Anonymous, promises to "kill Facebook", adding: "Your medium of communication you all so dearly adore will be destroyed.

"Everything you do on Facebook stays on Facebook regardless of your privacy settings, and deleting your account is impossible. Even if you delete your account, all your information stays on Facebook and can be recovered at any time."

Operation Facebook has said that it is targeting Facebook as it is the "opposite of the AntiSec cause", a joint group of Anonymous and LulzSec members.

The group added: "[Facebook] knows more about you than your family. It has been selling information to government agencies and giving clandestine access to information security firms so that they can spy on people from all around the world."

Longest Motor Bike EVER!!!

Colin Furze's 72ft motorbike can seat 25 – and what's more he's proved it can be driven at speeds of 35mph.

Admittedly only Mr Furze was on the bike at the time of the test drive, but with a few suspension modifications it's possible he could load up with passengers.

At the head of the bike, he used one-and-a-half 125cc mopeds and an extended aluminium frame to create the machine. He is hoping it will be recognised as the world's longest motorbike by the Guinness Book of Records.

He managed to get the bike, which is worth around €4,000, up to 35mph, but found it almost impossible to steer.

To make it into the record books, Colin had to drive the bike 100 metres, but amazingly he managed to ride more than a mile.

He will now send the video along with signed witness statements to Guinness World of Records, so they can verify it.

Colin already holds the world record for the fastest mobility scooter, which he built to go at a remarkable 71mph.

'This motorbike was so heavy and difficult to drive I think it would be impossible to make a longer bike. I think this record will stand for a very long time," he added.

According to Guinness World of Records the longest motorbike in the world until now was 14 metres.
