Zach Galifianakis has revealed that plans for The Hangover Part III are already in the works.
The 41-year-old comedian spoke to Rolling Stone about the future of the Hangover franchise, stating that a third installment is likely to be on the way.
"They want to do a Hangover III," Galifianakis said. "I'm getting fricking phone calls already."
The Due Date actor went on to detail the alleged plot for the forthcoming sequel, claiming that the film will leave the format of the first two movies behind in favor of a story that concentrates on Galifianakis's character escaping from a mental institution with the aid of the wolf pack.
It was previously reported that Amsterdam had been named as a potential location for a third film, though that could change now that the movie may not be embracing the hangover-based storyline.
Director Todd Phillips said in mid-May that he is hoping to shoot a third installment in the Hangover franchise, claiming that it would bring the movies to a conclusion.
The Hangover Part II shattered US box office records, becoming the first R-rated film to open to more than $100 million (£62m).
